From the stark, post-Communist landscape of Bratislava, Slovakia emerges one of Eastern Europe’s most talented producers - B-Complex. Matus began his first attempts at production in 1996, experimenting with hardcore and trance before discovering drum & bass - an ideal medium to capture the diversity of his style, which incorporates influences from classic rave to ethnic folk music. Both heartbreakingly melodic and relentlessly hard, B-Complex’s music will captivate your heart and slay your bassbins. B-Complex tunes have appeared on various Czech and Slovak compilations such as Remark the Silence 2 and 3, Back In My Mind, and Playback. Some have been released digitally on independent online labels Language Labs, Future Sickness, and Force Recordings. Acclaimed British magazine Knowledge featured two of B-Complex’s tunes in 2006, and chose “Sandworm”, as best unsigned tune of the month. Look out for his first vinyl releases “Black Eternity” (part of the FSOVI EP on Venom Inc) and another one with tunes "Questions" and “Broken Windows” (a collaboration with Vancouver artist ill-esha, released on Section 8) coming soon!
