He began making bedroom recordings on a cheap Casio while playing in indie rock bands in Austin and Oakland, crafting a sound blending psychedelic pop, soft rock, and primitive synth pop. His work has been released across numerous independent labels including Mexican Summer, Burger Records, and Loglady.
