Getting the Fear was an English goth/post-punk band formed in 1983 by the former Southern Death Cult rhythm section of Barry Jepson, David "Buzz" Burrows, and Aki Nawaz Qureshi, joined by vocalist Paul "Bee" Hampshire. The band signed to RCA and released the single "Last Salute" in 1984 before industry setbacks led to their split in 1985. Their unreleased demos and recordings were later compiled on "Death Is Bigger: 1984-85," issued by Dais Records in 2021.
