Groupie is a Brooklyn-based indie rock band formed in 2015 by bassist and vocalist Ashley Kossakowski, inspired by riot grrrl and DIY punk culture. Their sound blends post-punk, shoegaze, and new wave influences with feminist themes of identity, immigration, and belonging. The band released their debut album Ephemeral in 2021 and has performed at festivals like Lollapalooza, opening for acts such as Sabrina Carpenter and CHVRCHES. The current lineup features Ashley Kossakowski (bass/vocals), Aaron Silberstein (drums), Eric Rubin (guitar), and Eamon Lebow (guitar).
