In the beginning there was drums and Joakim did his part in pushing the second wave of northern soul. As a drummer in the bands Northern Grand and Carnival he developed a special relationship to the classic grooves of soul music. This has always been a central part of Joakims music making and as he progressed into more electronic sounds as a producer, the swing of the soul were allways present. Joakim has worked as a composer of commercial music as well as songwriter/producer for electronic duo SOM and is about to release his solo project Kalter. The first album is an epic techno flavoured 6 track mega-ep, named “Darling”. The tiltletrack of the album “Kalter” is remixed by Åbäke and released on JMD001. Read more on Last.fm.
