Ophir Kutiel, known as Kutiman, is an Israeli composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer born in Jerusalem in 1982, known for his groove-oriented style blending funk, afrobeat, jazz, and reggae. After studying jazz at Rimon Music College in Tel Aviv, he signed to Melting Pot Music in 2006 and released his debut album in 2007. In 2009 his viral ThruYOU project — which assembled unrelated YouTube videos into new compositions — surpassed 10 million views and was named one of Time Magazine's 50 Best Inventions of 2009. Albums include 6 A.M. (2016), Wachaga (2020), Open (2022), and Hope (2026).
