The Art of Parties (also known as Art Of Parties) is a Greek new wave and new romantic band formed in Athens in the early 1980s, taking their name from the Japan song featured on the album Tin Drum. The original lineup featured Pantelis Vassilakis (vocals, guitars), Dimitris Vassilakis (vocals, bass, keys), Thanassis Economou (guitars), and Kostas Kyriakidis (drums). They released their debut single Last Time / Central Room in 1984 on Creep Records, followed by the album Elements in 1990, and have been described as a great electro-pop group from the 80s, sometimes seeming better than Roxy Music.
