The Black Veils Website: http://www.theblackveils.com Having formed in the early stages of 2009, The Black Veils are primarily a hook-driven, alternative indie-band emerging from the S/E Suburbs of Melbourne. With each member, Az Molony, Scott Callis, Anthony Callen and Mickey Howells having a wildly different taste and sense for music, the band has enjoyed a relative smooth beginning with a load of songs already have been written in the short time the group have been together, each having a different identity with influences coming from all angles, yet all managing to blend in some plethora of music – thus creating the sound and style of The Black Veils. Hoping to hit a studio sometime later in the year to professionally record some more material, look out for The Black Veils to hopefully hit the gigging scene very soon. 2. Members: Gregor Samsa Filippo Scalzo Mario d'Anelli "Formed in 2014 out of the collaboration between Gregor Samsa (vocals), Filippo Scalzo (bass) and Mario "Dada" D'Anelli (guitar, synth and drum machine), The Black Veils are a trio based in Bologna, Italy. They draw on a dark and surreal imaginary, combining enigmatic lyrics with melodic evocative atmospheres. Through echoes and reverberations of the guitar, obsessive and "danceable" bass lines and ethereal sharp vocals, the sound of The Black Veils becomes a never-static reinterpretation of their inspirations.
