Growing up stateside, moving to London at age 18 to pursue a degree in philosophy, and then returning to the states with a newfound knack for pop songwriting, Valerie Broussard has been creating what she calls “cinematic pop,” a larger-than-life, string-laden approach to pop songwriting.
